The Department of Library and Information Science, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, commences its Certificate Course in Library and Information Science (CCLIS) from the coming academic year 2024-25. The programme will be duration of 6-months. This would include lectures, practical sessions, tutorials, project work and internship. For practicals/project work & internship students are required to identify the reputed nearby libraries & get consent from the DLIS department, SVU
The course aims to immerse a student in a rich learning environment that will build a strong foundation in developing professional skills and provide a historical and disciplinary overview of ICT applications in Library and Information Centers.
Teaching learning will include lectures, discussions, practical sessions, tutorials, project work, and internship.
